Engineering Units
The Piezo-RM
water level sensors and the Barom-SDI12
digital barometer can both provide results in raw and engineering
units. When the local barometric pressure and water height measurements
are in the same units then the true water height can be calculated in
the logger unit prior to transmission across the network.
Pressure Port
Barom-SDI12
Unit pressure port has the ability to fit a plastic tube onto the
pressure port and so move the atmospheric vent to a more suitable
location away from the sensor. This feature is used should
systems be fitted inside tunnels or mine shafts.
The image opposite shows a
sample
of barometric data recorded in Bracknell UK.
Regardless to the type
water level
sensor being used for a measurement, to obtain a true water level then
the local barometric effects have to be taken into consideration.
The Keynes Controls Barom-SDI12
model digital barometer is used in the remote measurement systems to
measure and report on the local barometric pressure.
The Keynes Controls water
level
monitoring systems combine a range of technologies into a single
application to make precise, reliable measurements that are accurately
recorded and reliably communicated to a User.
The Piezo-RM
range of intelligent water level sensors can be used for low level 0 -
100 m range and can be configured for the effects of local gravity,
salinity etc.. or simply to report the maximum and minimum levels over
a period of time.
For harsh environments,
such as
water levels in mine shafts or sewers then systems using vibrating wire
piezometers can be used. The Keynes Controls systems are flexible
enough to mix sensor technologies to create systems suitable for many
different applications.

The Ezi-Log
Web Interface gives access to the remote data using a web page. The
User can configure automatic data reports from the water level
recording systems and read the data in any 3rd party application
that can handle
CSV format data files.
