Introduction
The images below demonstrate the basic system components required to connect the VibWire-101/108
vibrating wire instrumentation to an Ethernet LAN. Once the vibrating
wire instruments are connected to the media converter then changing the
network type is straight forward. There is no limit to the number of
sensors that can be used across a local LAN.

The PC controls the
scanning for
all instruments on the network and the results are immediate. Data is
converted into engineering values and can be stored directly into
database, or spread sheet or used by a third party application.
