Long Term
Deployment
For applications in harsh
environments and when access for maintenance is not always practicable,
then vibrating wire strain gauges and load cells are better suited than
standard bonded gauges. A range of vibrating wire interfaces are
available and these support many different manufactures load cells and
strain gauges.
VibWire-108
Sensor Interface
A complete Silo
weight monitoring
solution to suit many different applications can be created and
supplied using the AquaLOG range of instrumentation. The systems are
modular in construction and can contain local displays or be connected
to the directly to the Internet for remote monitoring applications.
Many different sensor inputs are
supported as standard such as resistive and vibrating wire load cells
and strain gauges as well as our own intelligent liquid level sensors
can be combined into a single solution.
Typical Application
The examples below demonstrates a
typical minimum specification installation. The package shows the
AquaLOG interface and display used to present results to an operator. A
minimum specification solution will use a pair of single channel strain
gauge interfaces for bonded gauges to the silo or to drive load cells.
For harsh environments then vibrating wire sensors can be used.
User Defined Configuration
& Calculations
The AquaLOG interface undertakes
all of the sensor linearisation and mathematical calculations needed to
obtain the total load from the sensors. A display unit shows the total
load in the silo or can be used to display parameters from any of the
sensors.
